Getting closer

On count down

semi-overcast 16 °C

We had a very good day in Cambridge with Tony & Stella (friends from Perth - we were in the Nature Photography Group together) who were able to give us more pointers on our trip and confirmed they will travel with us for the first few days. It was also the first time we had an all too brief look around Cambridge - definitely somewhere we shall pay a return visit when we get back.
At long last, we have agreed to buy a second-hand Landcruiser 80 which has already been around Australia, so know its way, should we stray!
The garden is growing apace at this time of year, especially with the combination of a mild winter, and enough sunshine and rain to keep everything in good condition - especially the weeds. We dread to think what our garden will be like when we get back but there's always a price to pay for everything.
Judith has received her first retirement card so is definitely on count down, with very mixed feelings.
I'm uploading a photo of Jet Set on his first trip to Australia, before he obtained his hat and camera!19951009_12S.jpg
